Billy Joel Biography and His Successful Music Career

President of Zelouf International in New York City, Danny Zelouf communicates directly with suppliers for his fabric company. The company used to be known for domestic garment manufacturing. Then Danny Zelouf transitioned the company, and the products are now being utilized by top brands and major retailers. Outside of his career, he enjoys entertainment, such as Billy Joel.

Although Billy Joel’s father was a successful classical pianist, his mother is the one who motivated him to study piano. Billy Joel began playing piano at four years old, and he caught right on. He was already a pro at playing the piano by the time he reached age 16; he joined three bands before he even learned to drive.

The Beatles’ Ed Sullivan Show performance inspired Joel, and it wasn’t long after that he decided to commit to the music life. Billy Joel was so committed to music that he even dropped out of high school, which led to his first solo album in 1971 called Cold Spring Harbor. After “Piano Man” was named one of the top-20 singles, he recorded other new songs and albums, including Streetlife Serenade. His major commercial breakthrough was when his song “The Stranger” was in the top 25 of the U.S. Billboard. Continuing his success, Billy Joel went on to collect a People’s Choice Award, and he even won a Grammy for best male rock vocal performance.
